Hey guys—welcome back! In this video I’m using up a ton of scrap wood from the board and batten wall I just did in my kitchen (seriously, it was way easier than it looks). I’m cutting down mostly 1x3s (and a random 1x2) with my miter saw, sanding everything, and then turning those leftover pieces into affordable Christmas decor that looks way more high-end than it should. I’m not measuring a ton—more like eyeballing the sizes I want—because this is meant to be fun and realistic. I’m sharing several Christmas wood DIYs, including a Grinch-inspired sign (with that perfect “Grinch green” chalk paint), a stained wood tray (because I’m tray obsessed—like, it’s a problem), faux Christmas book stacks, and a couple cute scrap-wood signs like Santa Supply Co and Frosty’s Cafe. I also show how I embellish everything with what I already have—baker’s twine, little picks, faux snow, tiny trees, and even puffy paint “syrup.” The biggest takeaway: you don’t need fancy materials to make cute Christmas decor—you just need a little paint, a little glue, and permission to try (even if you’re not great at drawing… because same).
