In this video I’m showing you the Reolink Home Hub Pro and why it’s a really solid option if you want a local-first security camera setup that plays nice in a smart home. The big headline is that the Home Hub Pro supports up to 24 cameras and comes with a 2TB hard drive, and you can upgrade storage all the way up to 16TB. That’s a ton of local recording without subscriptions, and it’s a nice step up for anyone outgrowing the regular Home Hub. I also walk through what it looks like to use the HDMI output and run an always-on monitor. I’m flipping through different multi-camera layouts (9, 16, 25, quad view, and a “one big + smaller cameras” layout), jumping into individual cameras, and even using the controller to move around, zoom into an area, and swap which image is primary on a wide-angle view. The other key point is that the Home Hub Pro provides its own Wi‑Fi network, which is great for keeping wireless and battery cameras off your main Wi‑Fi so they don’t clog things up—especially if your network isn’t super robust. Just keep in mind it doesn’t have built-in PoE ports, so if you want wired PoE cameras, you’ll need a separate PoE switch.
