In this video, I break down what it’s actually like using the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 as an add-on to a full Apple ecosystem — MacBook, iPad, iPhone, and Apple Watch. I’m not switching from Apple for my personal life: my iPhone is still my go-to for calls, messages, photos, banking, and day-to-day stuff, and my iPad is still my favourite for media, casual computing, and occasional gaming. But I’ve always felt there’s a gap between phone and tablet when I need to do “real work” quickly — replying to emails with attachments, updating Google Sheets, managing Notion, reviewing and signing contracts — and that’s where the Fold 7 surprised me. The Fold 7 has basically become my “pocket productivity” device. I can do quick tasks while it’s closed, then unfold it and properly dive in, and Android just plays nicer with Google Drive/Sheets for my workflow. Multitasking is a big win too — I can launch split-screen app combos (like YouTube Studio, TikTok Studio, and Instagram dashboards) in one click instead of bouncing around on my iPhone. The unexpected bonus is work-life balance: I’ve separated my devices so my iPhone stays personal, and the Fold 7 owns work, which helps cut notifications and reduce burnout while still keeping me efficient on the go.
