About This Video

In this video, I’m comparing the iPad Pro 11-inch vs 13-inch based on real-life use cases, because specs on paper don’t tell you how these things actually feel day-to-day. I’ve used a 13-inch iPad Pro for years as a major part of my workflow (it’s genuinely my most-used device), usually paired with the Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil Pro. But after iPadOS 26, I found myself reaching for the iPad even more—and that’s when I realised the 13-inch can be slightly too big in certain scenarios. So for the past month, I’ve been running an 11-inch iPad with the exact same setup and using it for the exact same tasks. I break it down by category: professional “laptop replacement” work (emails, Excel, presentations, meetings, split screen), writing and sketching with Apple Pencil, pure tablet use on the sofa/bed, photo and video editing on the go, and gaming. My takeaway is simple: if you’re replacing your laptop and living on the Magic Keyboard, the 13-inch is the better form factor for screen space, multitasking, and a more seamless typing feel. But if you want to actually use your iPad in more scenarios—tablet mode, travel, editing on the couch, casual use—the 11-inch wins on portability, comfort, and how often you’ll genuinely pick it up. I’m personally downgrading from 13-inch to 11-inch for that reason.
