I picked up the new MacBook Neo, Apple’s most affordable MacBook and here are my first impressions after using it. In this video, I’ll walk you through a quick unboxing, design, and what this MacBook actually feels like in real-world use. This isn’t a full review, just my early thoughts after getting hands-on with it. We’ll cover: • MacBook Neo unboxing • Design, colours and build quality • First impressions after using it • Performance expectations (based on early use) • Who I think this MacBook is suited for The MacBook Neo is clearly not designed for heavy workloads like video editing or content creation. Instead, it’s aimed at everyday users who want a simple, reliable MacBook at a more accessible price. I’ll be testing this more over the next couple of weeks — so stay tuned for the full follow-up where I break down real performance and who should actually buy it. 💬 Let me know in the comments: Would you buy the MacBook Neo, or would you go for the MacBook Air instead? 🔔 Subscribe for more content around: Productivity Desk setups Apple ecosystem Tech that improves your workflow My full desk setup 👇 https://beacons.ai/joinfaizanj ▶️ Subscribe to JOINFAIZANJ for more tech reviews and home office inspiration: https://youtube.com/@Joinfaizanj 📸 Follow on Instagram for daily desk setups & gear: https://www.instagram.com/joinfaizanj 📹 Watch BTS + extras on TikTok https://www.tiktok.com/@joinfaizanj 🖥️ All My Gear & Desk Setup https://beacons.ai/joinfaizanj 📬 Business Inquiries joinfaizanj@gmail.com Timecodes 0:00 - Intro 0:10 - Visit to Apple Store in London 0:36 - Unboxing MacBook Neo first impressions 1:09 - Overall Design 1:42 - My initial experience using MacBook Neo 2:35 - Who is the MacBook Neo for 3:47 - Why Neo and Why now

About This Video

Apple have launched their most affordable MacBook ever — the MacBook Neo — and in this video I share my first impressions after going hands-on with it here in London. I walked into the Apple Store right after the March event, and what stood out straight away was how the Neo sat right next to the MacBook Air. It genuinely felt like Apple want you to come in for the cheapest MacBook, then get tempted into spending more on the Air. Still, I walked out with the Neo and unboxed it — I went for the citric colour because I wanted something different, and honestly it gives me happy vibes. Even though this is the “budget” MacBook, Apple haven’t really compromised on the experience. The packaging is still premium, the aluminium build is here, and I love the tinted keyboard plus the matching wallpaper and folder icons when you boot it up. After a few days of use, my main takeaway is simple: the Neo isn’t trying to be powerful — it’s trying to give you macOS at a more accessible price. With the A18 Pro iPhone chip and 8GB unified memory, it’s not built for heavy multitasking or content creation (I moved to Mac Studio for a reason). But for simple, reliable computing, I genuinely think this could become the MacBook most people buy in 2026.
