About This Video

In this video I’m talking about one of the most underrated Apple products on my desk: the Apple Magic Trackpad. On paper it looks like a simple slab of aluminium and glass, but in real use it’s easily one of my most productive devices. I break down the build and design, why the minimal look fits perfectly with the Magic Keyboard, and how you basically get that MacBook Pro trackpad experience—just scaled up for a desktop setup. Where it really wins for me is gestures and workflow speed. Multi-touch gestures like three-finger swipes between desktops, Mission Control, pinch to zoom, and especially smooth scrolling make my Mac Studio setup feel faster and more natural than any mouse I’ve used. I also share my real-world switch from the Logitech MX Master 3S: I started using both, but over time I realised I was on the trackpad around 70% of the time, then 90–95%, and eventually removed the mouse completely. If you’re a creator, writer, or productivity nerd—and you’re in the Apple ecosystem with a Mac and iPad—this is genuinely a no-brainer investment for the way I work.
