About This Video

In this video, I’m breaking down my real-world experience using two of the most recommended 32-inch OLED gaming monitors: the ASUS ROG Strix XG32UCWG and the Gigabyte AORUS FO32U2. If you’ve been following my setup journey on Instagram/YouTube, you’ll know I’ve been building a gaming setup alongside my usual productivity-focused desk. I originally bought an ASUS unit, returned it due to a massive image retention issue, then picked up the AORUS—before deciding to give the ASUS another shot because I kept hearing great things. I compare them the way I actually use them day-to-day: hardware/build, picture quality, and the user interface. Aesthetically, I prefer the ASUS because it looks more premium, has smaller bezels, and when it’s turned off the WOLED panel gives a true black screen (the AORUS has a more grey-ish tint that would bother me over time). For picture quality, both are great, but I personally prefer the ASUS—especially in darker games like Call of Duty and Battlefield where I felt better visibility and clarity. The one clear win for the AORUS is the UI: the menus are simpler and easier to navigate. Overall, I kept the ASUS, and I’d pay around 10% more for it if prices are close.
