High-end GPU prices are absolutely ridiculous right now, and that’s why I’m telling you straight up: upgrading in 2026 can be a waste of money. On this channel I’m always trying to extract “free” performance with undervolting and overclocking first, and I still recommend you do that before any upgrade. But even a really good OC is usually like 30% extra FPS. In this video I show a setup that isn’t free, but can literally double the FPS you actually see: a second cheap GPU + Lossless Scaling. The idea is simple: you game on your main GPU, and you use a second dedicated GPU to handle Lossless Scaling’s frame generation and/or upscaling. Those extra frames are interpolated (not “real”), but they are the frames you see, so it feels like you have a faster GPU—just with a bit of extra latency if you push it too hard. My quick rules are: if you’re already at 60+ FPS, use 2x frame gen (don’t use dynamic). If you’re below 60, use FSR upscaling first, then frame gen only if it’s stable. And don’t expect miracles if you’re CPU-limited—your CPU still needs to be able to push frames in the first place.
