In this Caturday LIVE, I sit down with my sketchbook, my watercolor supplies, and (of course) my cats, and I work on the February image for my watercolor calendar. It’s one of those cozy, chatty livestreams where the goal is to get a solid drawing on the page and talk through the choices as I go—composition, what I want the “vibe” to be for February, and how I’m thinking about translating the idea into something that will actually paint well in watercolor. Because it’s a live, I also keep things community-friendly and comfy: if anything drifts into a topic that feels too sensitive, we use the safeword “lumpy elephant” and I’ll steer us right back to cats and paints.
