In this Caturday LIVE, I’m doing one of my favorite cozy studio things: swatching. I’m setting up a new palette layout, testing colors as I go, and talking through why I place certain paints where I do (because if my palette isn’t logical, my brain isn’t logical). We also play with Woomer colored pencils alongside watercolor, which is such a fun combo for sketching—especially when I’m bouncing between loose washes and crisp little details. Since it’s a livestream, it’s also very much a hangout: we chat, we paint, and we keep it light. And yes, if the conversation wanders into anything too heavy, we’ve got our safe word “lumpy elephant” so we can immediately steer back to cats and paints (the only correct priorities).
