In this video I take you dorm room shopping with me (starting at IKEA… and then accidentally ending up at Bed Bath & Beyond, which was totally on purpose). I’m basically figuring out what I actually need for my UBC dorm for term two, and you’ll see the realistic parts too—like me realizing I don’t know how to do laundry and getting overwhelmed by how much “stuff” there is. We also grab food in between because obviously dorm prep requires a junior bacon cheeseburger moment. Then it’s packing time, New Year’s Eve edition. I show you my Google Keep packing list, my plan to fit everything into four plastic bins (one dedicated to clothes/shoes), and how I’m packing around the stuff I still need to use for the next couple days—like sheets, makeup, and skincare. I pack bathroom things, kitchen basics (like my kettle), snacks, electronics/random essentials (surge protector, tripod, even my guitar amp), and I literally forget period products for a second. I also share how I’m planning my dorm wall decor by printing posters from Pinterest, cutting them out, and getting ready for my move-in vlog next.
