In this College Move-In Vlog at UBC, I’m taking you through the whole process of moving into my new dorm (and it’s a studio suite in a new building, which is very exciting). It also means I’m living on my own for the very first time and I get my own kitchen, so you’ll see me pick up a bunch of essentials, unpack, and start setting up a space that actually feels like home. My room was looking “quite nasty” at first, but we slowly got it together. I also show you a Home Depot run + curbside pickup (super convenient), and I share the little things that made move-in easier—like hangers that actually grip, cleaning stuff to reset the space, and a shower caddy because the shower has basically no space. You’ll also see some real-life first-day chaos: grocery shopping, making our first meal, and me making English muffins with Nutella because I forgot a can opener (I was going to do tuna). I end with a mini dorm tour of my kitchen setup, bed area, closet organization, and bathroom, plus a peek at what I still want to decorate next.
