Happy Black History Month! In this video I’m finally digging into a product that’s been sitting in my stash for a minute: Miche Beauty Sculpt Curl Defining Gel. Since the forecast was giving rain/snow and I knew I’d probably be putting my hair up by the end of the week, I didn’t want a super hard-hold, casty gel. I wanted something lightweight and fluffy, but still defined—so I kept it simple with a 2-product wash & go using Black-owned products. I used Miche Sculpt (aloe vera, bamboo extract, slippery elm, etc.) and paired it with one of my tried-and-true favorites from the brand: Miche Set (their gel-to-foam styling mousse). Sculpt surprised me with how much definition I got, especially once I started making sure my hair was wet enough and getting the product up toward my roots. The mousse helped bring volume and tied everything together, and even though I had a little crunch, it wasn’t anything crazy. My hair came out juicy, clumpy, and springy, and I ended up wearing it out for about three days before putting it up in a puff—exactly what I needed for the week.
