In this video, I’m taking y’all with me for a quick little side hustle moment after I get off work. It’s 4:32 and my goal is simple: DoorDash for about an hour and see if I can hit $40–$50 before I head home. I grab a first order around $10 and knock it out, then I get another order at CVS for $11—but it’s one of those shopping + photo orders, and whew… it was harder than I thought it was going to be. I’m not even gonna lie, I didn’t like that one whatsoever, but I still pushed through and got it delivered (one drop was even to a hotel room). As it starts getting dark, I’m already feeling like it’s time to take my behind home because I don’t like dashing at night unless I’m with somebody. But then I accept another $11 order at Michaels and immediately realize why it said 30 minutes—it was sending me way out to Chesterfield. Right when I’m already 10–12 minutes into the drive, the customer messages me to cancel because it was an accident. I was irritated, but the upside is DoorDash told me I’d still get paid ($11 plus extra), so I ended up with $17 for that whole situation—and I was done for the night after returning the item.
