I’m super late, but I had to bring y’all my Valentine’s Day vlog with my kindergarteners—what I did for them and how the day actually went. Yes, I had a scarf on my head… don’t talk about it. I was in lazy mode. Before school, I stopped at Kroger because I decided I wanted to do breakfast for my babies since they can be real picky in the mornings. So I grabbed muffins for them, apple juice, and I got myself some sushi for lunch. When I got to school, I used my little teacher card, unpacked, and got in about 30 minutes early so I could set up a cute Valentine’s Day wall. I also showed a couple sweet moments where parents and students brought me gifts—nobody has to do that, so I truly appreciate it. While they were at resource (PE day, so you know they were hype), I put together their Valentine’s bags with a mix of things they can use at home: snacks (not just candy), pencils, erasers, coloring books, and little fidget spinners. We ended the day with crafts—those Valentine’s monster/muppet things—plus cookies and a colorable tablecloth. It was a full day, but a really sweet one.
