In this wash & go combo review, I finally tried Ecoslay’s brand new Lemon Drop Styling Foam on my type 4 curls—and y’all, I was hype because I’ve been waiting for Ecoslay to drop a foam. I paired it with my tried-and-true favorite, Jelloshot gel (because you already know what’s about to go down if you’ve been on my channel). I started on freshly washed hair (Chai Latte Cleanser + Banana Cream for deep conditioning), skipped leave-in on purpose, and worked in Jelloshot first for that definition and cast. Then I went in with Lemon Drop on top for shine, control, and that “foam girl” finish I love. I’ll be real: this combo gave me a crunch, but the cast broke easily—especially where I used mostly foam. The definition was eating, the shine was even more noticeable than my usual Jelloshot shine, and I got extra volume on the side where the foam did its thing. I dried under a hooded dryer (I did not diffuse like the directions suggest), stretched my hair, and by the end I’d rate this wash & go a 9/10 because I already know it’s going to last me about 6–7 days. I’m definitely doing this combo again, and I want to try Lemon Drop by itself next.
