In this video I’m sharing my recent curly hair favorites, and it’s very much based on what I’ve been reaching for lately while I’m dealing with my “new found hair”… aka the blonde era and a half wig situation. I’m keeping my real hair tucked away for the winter, so a lot of these picks are about moisture + bond repair, especially for my leave-out/edges and keeping everything healthy underneath. I go through the deep conditioners and bond builders that have been doing wonders for me, like the SheaMoisture bond repair mask (super thick and creamy, even if the smell isn’t my fave) and my tried-and-true Indulge Moisturizing Deep Conditioner from Miche (if you know, you know). I also talk about a scalp serum I’ve been using under my wigs that’s more watery than an oil, plus the Curlsmith bond rehab salve I’ve been using on my real hair because she’s expensive and I’m not wasting that on fake hair. And for keeping the wig hair from looking dry, I share what’s been giving me definition on looser-textured hair—plus a gel I found in my stash that pairs well with a lot of products.
