About This Video

In this mini hair travel vlog, I’m taking y’all with me (and my best friend) on a little trip to Maryland to get our hair done—braids day. I was definitely running late (like… supposed to leave at 5:30 and it’s already 6:12 late), so you see the real “get out the door” rush: sunscreen, headband over my blown-out hair, and me trying to figure out coffee because I needed something in my system before driving. Once we get there, it turns into a whole experience—parking drama, walking back and forth, and checking in while my braids are almost done. I talk about how my skin has been breaking out (I’m blaming keeping that u-part wig on too long and not washing my hair like I normally do), and we chat about timing, big heads, and all the little things that happen when you’re getting braided. After my hair is finished, I show the results, talk about how the braids are smaller than I wanted (but that means they’ll last longer—about two months), and I got the ends curled for a cute finish. We also stop for food at Miss Toya’s, and I give y’all my honest favorites from the meal before we finally head back home, tired but happy with the hair.
