I haven’t really talked about it, but today was my grad rehearsal for my master’s degree—and I’m still kind of in disbelief because tomorrow I’m officially graduating. I started the day low energy with my voice basically gone, so my first stop had to be coffee and something to eat. I grabbed a medium iced caramel latte (I hadn’t had Dunkin’ in like two weeks), and then I headed to campus to handle the one thing I was missing: my grad cap. Since I’m a master’s student, I really don’t be on campus like that, so finding the bookstore was a whole mini-adventure. I had to ask for directions because I genuinely did not know where I was going, but I got it done—the bag has been secured. While I was there, I also looked around for something cute to wear because I want to take grad pictures soon and I’m planning to go out that night, but I didn’t end up buying an outfit. Overall, it was one of those feel-good days—great weather, big milestone energy, and honestly just a great day to be a Black woman in education.
