This was my final wash day of 2024, and y’all… we had to get back in the groove because I’ve been recovering from being sick and I definitely fell off on posting full videos. I had a wig on for about two weeks with my hair braided/flat twisted underneath, and my scalp was letting me know it was time—itchy, buildup, and those little dirty bumps from not washing as frequently as I normally do. So this was a simple, laid-back wash day with some real-life chit-chat, because I wasn’t about to be standing over the sink too long feeling hot and nauseous. I started with a quick pre-poo moment to calm my scalp and make detangling easier, then I went in with the Function of Beauty SOS shampoo/conditioner combo. The shampoo is okay to me, but I’ll be honest—I don’t really care for the conditioner, I’m just using it up. And because my scalp still had dandruff/buildup hanging on, I had to go back in and clarify (yes, I ended up shampooing four times total). After that, I deep conditioned with my beloved Banana Cream, put on a plastic cap, and sat under my heated cap. No wash & go this time—this one was strictly about getting my scalp clean, my hair hydrated, and closing out the year the right way.
