This video is Part 2 and the final step in my GMC Sierra MultiPro Tailgate Makeover. In this follow-up, I finish off the tailgate with the Air Design Tailgate Applique, which adds the final OEM-plus touch and really ties the entire rear of the truck together. This applique is also compatible with Chevrolet Silverados equipped with the Multi-Flex tailgate, so the install process applies to both platforms. I also replace the factory silver hardware with Air Design black Super Flare bolts, a small detail that makes a big difference and helps everything flow visually. This video walks through every step from preparation to completion, including alignment tips, install techniques, and final impressions so you know exactly what to expect if you’re considering this upgrade yourself. 🔗 Products used in this video: Air Design Tailgate Applique (Sierra MultiPro & Silverado Multi-Flex) 👉 https://www.airdesignusa.com/us/silverado-sierra-tailgate-applique-multiflex-multipro-gm39a63.html Air Design Black Super Flare Bolts 👉 https://www.airdesignusa.com/us/black-bolts-super-bolt-fender-flares-3ac080.html If you haven’t seen Part 1, that video covers vinyl removal, emblem refresh, and the paint-matched bezel install that set the foundation for this final step. 👉 Part 1: https://youtu.be/EW-VwzihPrU As always, drop your thoughts in the comments — are you team paint-match, gloss black, or contrast trim? About This Video

This video is Part 2 and the final step of my GMC Sierra MultiPro tailgate makeover. In Part 1 I pulled off the vinyl that was giving it that “AEV edition AT4X” vibe (and yeah… this is not an AT4X), refreshed the emblem, put the AT4 logos back on, and installed the painted tailgate bezel from Boost Auto Parts. For this one, I’m finishing the job with the Air Design satin black tailgate applique that goes on the lower section and gives the rear end a little more character—an OEM-plus look that’s just different from all the other trucks out there. And if you’ve got a Silverado with the Multi-Flex tailgate, the install idea is the same. I walk you through how I aligned it using masking tape guides (I prefer that over tracing with the grease pencil), how I handled prep with paint protection film already on the tailgate, and why I skipped the adhesion promoter in my case. Then I swap my Super Flare fender flare hardware from the factory silver to the Air Design black bolts—one of those small details that makes a big difference visually. Final verdict: I’m digging the black bolts, and the applique really ties the whole back of the truck together… even if I know not everyone’s going to love the look.
