Escalade Breakdown Follow-Up – Dealer Fix, Pico Test & Special Warranty Coverage! (Part 2)

In this Part 2 follow-up to our Cadillac Escalade breakdown (watch Part 1 here 👉 https://youtu.be/9wBz55p0q2k ), Mrs. Donslife and I share what the GM dealership found, what repairs were made, and whether the L87 6.2L engine recall played a role. The dealership classified our issue as an intermittent/phantom fault, with no active codes found. They inspected wiring harnesses, applied dielectric grease, and performed circuit integrity tests, all of which passed. The Escalade came back running smoothly. While it was there, they also performed the Pico Test for the L87 recall. Our engine passed, and they updated it with 0W-40 oil, a new oil cap, and a supplemental page in the manual. But here’s the big update — at the end of the video, we confirm that our Escalade is now covered under the special extended warranty program tied to this recall. This was officially stated in the second recall letter. That said, we’ve also shared another owner’s story, where the Pico Test “passed” but hidden damage was later uncovered — proving why it’s so important for owners to stay close to their recalls, ask questions, and not assume a pass means everything is perfect. 💬 Comment below: Have you received your second recall letter yet?
