Engine Recall or Bad Luck? Our Escalade Breaks Down (Part 1)

In this video, Mrs. Donslife and I share the story of our 2022 Cadillac Escalade Sport Platinum breaking down unexpectedly. This vehicle is part of the active GM L87 6.2L engine recall, but after some self-diagnosis, I’m not entirely convinced the issue is related. Either way, GM advised us to have it towed directly to a dealership — so that’s exactly what we did. Now the big questions are: Will GM perform the pico scope test while they have it? Is this actually part of the L87 recall, or something completely different? Until recently, you had to wait for GM to summon you for that test, but several viewers have told me dealerships now have the autonomy to do it if they have the time and resources. 💬 Let me know in the comments — What do YOU think the problem is?
