About This Video

I couldn’t ignore it anymore — I’ve had the same guy in like my last 14 videos asking for an updated Wheezy x Future tutorial, so I finally did it. In this video I make the whole beat from scratch in FL Studio at 124 BPM, basing the vibe on Future snippets I’ve been seeing plus that aggressive, orchestral feel from his recent sound. The goal is that eerie, harsh, repetitive foundation that still feels big and “sampled,” without overcomplicating the melody. I start in G minor with Mellotron strings (Melatron) and build a simple pattern, then I render it to audio (Alt/Option + R) so I can reverse it, repitch it, and basically “sample myself.” That’s the big takeaway: repitching after rendering changes the texture and takes away some of that clean quality in a good way. From there I layer extra strings/brass, pan for width, push the main sample slightly back toward mono, and use EQ + reverb to blend everything together. I even add noise and run it through Abbey Road Vinyl for that gritty sampled character. On the drums, I keep the foundation simple (hard snare on time), then get more creative with hats/counter snares. I also show how I like to keep the 808 simple (sometimes even using two), add small transitions, and let the texture + bounce do the heavy lifting.
