In this video I’m ranking my top 5 wild camps of 2025, starting with the worst and working up to the best (because that’s how these countdowns work). I run through where I camped, who I camped with, and the tents I used, and I’ve linked every single camp in the description so you can go and watch the full missions. At number five is my “1-star tent” disaster on Dartmoor — a tiny pop-up that had me sleeping curled up and waking up to a puddle from leaks. Number four is a bitterly cold, windy night on East Mill Tor with Neil from Forzians, plus cows everywhere and a cow pat right outside my tent in the morning. Number three is a solo summit camp on Cox Tor in thick fog, where I first tested what instantly became my go-to tent, the Naturehike Cloud Peak 2. Number two is a surprise-windy camp on Barnhill Rocks in the Merrivale area with Neil again — and somehow it turned into the best sleep I’ve ever had on a wild camp, topped off by an amazing sunrise. And number one is the Dartmoor YouTubers Wild Camp on Honeybag Tor with Graeme (Dartmoor Adventurer) and George (The Dartmoor Podcast), featuring a sheep with a suspiciously human cough and me accidentally providing the “grinding noise” at sunrise with a Logan Stone.
