Brent Tor & Gibbet Hill | Hiking in Dartmoor National Park

Hello YouTube! Today, I’m taking you on a hike through history. A walk through a single page in the history of Dartmoor. In this video, I head up to Brent Tor, the most westerly tor in Dartmoor National Park, to visit the church of St. Michael de Rupe. Then I head out across fields and along country lanes to Gibbet Hill, where the bodies of convicts were gruesomely displayed to deter others from a life of crime. Watch as a cold and misty atmospheric morning gives way to a warm and sunny day, with blue skies and stunning views. This is Dartmoor!
