I pulled up the official announcement clip (the moment where the screenshot flashes), compared the colors and layout, and then went full Devil’s Advocate mode to see if the community rumors actually line up with what PreSonus is teasing. The big potential “secret” I’m talking about is stem separation inside Studio One 7. I show how a Reddit screenshot and the blurred frame from the announcement look almost identical, and I even used an AI de-blur tool (yeah… sketchy, I know) that basically spat out the same UI that Reddit posted. I also rant a bit about the classic “just buy a third-party plugin” argument—because telling people to grab something like SpectraLayers and then realizing Pro is hundreds of dollars is exactly why native features matter. Overall, I’m cautiously excited: if Studio One 7 really brings stem separation plus stuff like Splice integration, it’s finally moving in a direction that feels like value… but whether it’s worth the upgrade price is still on you to decide.
