In this video I load up iZotope Ozone 10 Advanced and keep it hands-on—no long, extended review. I start in bypass, then flip it on so you can hear what it’s doing right from the get-go, especially with the Master Assistant as a starting point. Ozone immediately throws up the usual EQ and Maximizer chain, and I call out the first “gotcha”: it’s already pushing gain, so if you don’t want that loudness tricking you, you can pull the threshold back to zero or hit gain match. From there I walk through what Ozone suggested versus what actually makes sense. The assistant’s EQ move was honestly insane (way too much low end and top), so I dial it back hard and talk through using the amount control, mid/side options, and why I like the analog curves. I also test modules like Stabilizer, Impact, Imager, and Dynamic EQ—some of it felt beneficial for clarity, but some settings were just too aggressive for mastering in my opinion. I wrap up on the Maximizer, soft clip, transient emphasis, and why Ozone 10 feels like a legit improvement over Ozone 9 (and I’ve been using Ozone since around version 5).
