In this market day vlog, I’m taking you with me to a brand new outdoor venue (Sunday, March 22nd) where we had a 10x10 space and a $30 booth fee—which, in my area, is honestly such a good deal. Setup was way less stressful because we had a full two-hour window, so I could actually take my time getting everything looking cute and colorful (because people are drawn to color, and I swear it helps). The market ran 11–3, it was HOT (like 85°), and the no-indoor-bathroom situation was… not my favorite, but we made it work. You’ll see a ton of real customer interactions and what actually sells at my booth—stress bears, bunnies, turtles (including my ice cream sandwich turtles), chicks/duck plushies, keychains, and even mystery boxes. I also talk a little about my crochet background (my grandma taught me in second grade) and how this is my full-time job, so inventory takes a lot of time and investment. And yes… we had “Twizzler time,” got tempted by lemonade, and I ate the classic post-market sandwich on the way home. The absolute highlight was meeting one of you in person—she came out because she watches my YouTube videos, and I was genuinely on the cusp of tears. That moment (plus ending the day making over $700) made this market one I’ll never forget.
