With that mood (and a deep craving for nature), I spontaneously drive out to Cloudland Canyon State Park to finally chase a waterfall I’ve been meaning to see for literally nine years. On the trail, I try filming a guided breathwork moment, but the creator side of me is battling the lighting, the heat, and the reality that nature is loud. From there, the day gets even more impulsive: I realize Nashville is only two hours away, and I decide I want that “new city” feeling—where no one knows me and I can just exist without pressure. I keep it super simple (cheap room, vegan stops, jazz bar vibes), talk about the weirdness of solo travel in America, and share the practical thing I do to feel safer: I Google other solo women’s experiences first. The takeaway is basically: this silly little life… why not?
