Welcome to my “Non-Stop Tunes” live gig stream — this one’s a solo set out in Cavendish (same place you might’ve seen me a couple of weeks back on Mother’s Day). I kicked things off by saying hello to everyone jumping in from different time zones, doing the classic “let me know if it’s too loud or too quiet” check, and then just getting straight into the music. It’s proper live, proper in-the-moment, and I’m taking requests as we go — chuck songs at me and I’ll do my best. In this stream I run through a big mix: “Banana Pancakes,” “Down Under,” a bit of Beatles (“Eleanor Rigby” — and yes, I’ve got loads of Beatles, guys), “Make You Feel My Love,” “Return to Sender,” “Rocket Man,” and more. I also play one of my own songs — the one I’m planning to record next — and I chat a bit behind the scenes about streaming, how I started back in March 2020, and what it’s like keeping things going when life’s a bit chaotic (including me rolling my ankle halfway to the pub… because of course I did).
