Today’s stream is basically me doing what I love most: standing in Suffolk, set up by the market (between two big benches), and singing whatever you lot fancy. I kick things off with a proper mix of requests and crowd-pleasers — Fleetwood Mac’s “Landslide”, “Maybe Tomorrow”, Dire Straits “Romeo and Juliet”, “Dust in the Wind”, “Wind of Change”, a bit of “Hotel California”, “Down Under”, some Elvis, and even “Wherever You Will Go” (which I definitely had to do off memory because the sun made my tablet impossible to read). It’s one of those days where I’m fighting the algorithm a bit, but I’m just trying to have fun and keep the tunes rolling. There’s loads of the usual behind-the-scenes busker chaos too: my ankle’s “nice and colourful”, I’ve got my stick “just in case I fall over”, and the wind turns up so I start doing wind-related songs. On top of that, my TikTok phone dies because I forgot to charge it (classic), so I’m messing about with chargers while still taking requests. I also chat about doing originals — I play my song “Jigsaw”, talk about how hard it is to write something truly original, and remind you you can even ask Alexa to play it.
