This one’s “MOTHERS DAY MUSIC PART deux” — basically me doing what I love most: turning up, taking requests, and grafting through a proper live set with plenty of laughs in between. It’s a Mother’s Day vibe, so there’s lots of singalong stuff and crowd-pleasers, and you’ll hear me bouncing through tunes like “Jolene”, “Go Your Own Way”, “Faith”, “Come Together”, “Wish You Were Here”, “All Night Long”, and yes… we even went for the “greatest song ever written” (you know the one). It’s very much that busking/pub-gig energy where anything can happen and you just roll with it. I also chat a bit of real life in the middle of it all — the behind-the-scenes stuff people don’t always see. I’ve had a rough start to the year with illness after illness (chest infections, antibiotics, steroids… the lot), but things are finally picking up and I’ve got loads in the diary for summer. We ended up getting asked to carry on and do more, which is always a good sign, and I also played my original song “Jigsaw” and mentioned I’ve got a solo gig coming up for Easter Sunday. If you’re into live music that feels like you’re actually there in the room with us, this one’s for you.
