Good morning from Suffolk — in this one I’m doing what I love most: singing your song requests live and having a proper natter in-between. It starts off nice and simple with “Perfect Day”, then we dip into Otis Redding with “Sittin’ On The Dock of the Bay”, and from there it turns into a bit of a St. Patrick’s Day mission… even though I genuinely didn’t clock the date at first. Once I realised, I decided my target for the stream was to play every Irish song I’ve got in my locker that day (or at least every Irish artist I can think of), while still taking priority requests if someone tips. You’ll hear me bounce through the Irish-themed set: “Whiskey in the Jar” (Thin Lizzy), “The Wild Rover”, “Dirty Old Town”, a bit of The Cranberries (“Everything I Said”), and then I remembered I hadn’t played Ronan Keating in ages, so we went there too. There’s also the usual behind-the-scenes busker stuff: cold hands, warming up, being a bit under the weather, chatting to locals, and me banging on about gear (my Roland Street Cube EX has survived years of busking abuse).
