Well, I started back in March 2020 when due to worldwide events, I could no longer perform outside. Took me a while to learn the ins and outs of streaming, but I'm still live streaming today! A large influence on this series has come from content creators such as Ortopilot and Boyce Avenue. --------------------------------SOCIALS-------------------------------- Get in touch @ bensmithukmusic@gmail.com 👥Linktree: https://bit.ly/bensmithukmusic 👥Facebook: https://bit.ly/3L6Fzgb 🐦Twitter: https://bit.ly/3Ev6JuJ 🐦Go get Ben to play a song you want to hear live on Twitch: https://bit.ly/37vfMzC -------------------------SEOSTUFFIGNOREIT---------------------- new songs uk, music, unsigned, new songs, uk music 2023, new music, twitchclip, twitchclips, live music, music 2023, fender acoustasonic jazzmaster, acoustasonic jazzmaster, fender, acoustasonic demo, new acoustasonic, fender american acoustasonic, acoustasonic jazzmaster demo #twitch #twitchmusic #busker

About This Video

This one’s a properly weird stream, and I’ll be honest with you from the start: I wasn’t busking. I was meant to be out singing, but I’d pushed my voice too far and the lack of sleep had me sounding dry and knackered. So instead of risking wiping myself out for a week, I ended up sat in an empty house in Copthorne (near Crawley) doing a bit of DIY—mainly pulling staples out of lovely parquet flooring with a flathead screwdriver because I didn’t have the right tools. It’s not glamorous, but it’s real life, and I wanted to say hi and have a catch up. While I’m shuffling around on the floor (bad knee and all), I chat about streaming, why I started back in March 2020, and how I’m often my own worst enemy with drive—always wanting to perform even when I’m not 100%. We also end up talking money and how hard it is right now for anyone in the arts, plus the reality of doing everything yourself when you can’t afford a team. There’s a little house tour, some thoughts on “dated” but solid wood kitchens, a quick musical chat (Book of Mormon is elite), and a tiny bit of singing just to enjoy the mad reverb in an empty room.
