Today’s video is a proper little experiment: I’m out in Crawley busking with the amazing Will Taylor. It’s actually the first time we’ve met in real life after chatting online, and the only thing that’s stopped it before is geography. Straight away we’re juggling the classic “where do I look?” problem because it’s all phones and screens, and I’m also clearing up the important rumour: yes, I exist in the real world, and no, I’m not AI (if I was, I’d be much better looking). The main vibe is us doing what buskers do best—working out on the fly what songs we both know and just going with it. We jump into “Just the Two of Us” (capo 1), have a laugh about vocals, and I chat a bit about why I like learning songs that actually push you rather than loads of tracks that feel the same. Behind the scenes, you also see the reality of live streaming on the street: audio issues, phones picking up the wrong sound, trying to mute the right mic, and eventually deciding we might have to split into separate streams so it doesn’t completely fall apart. It’s chaotic, but it’s real, and that’s busking.
