About This Video

Welcome back, guys—today I’m throwing something different on the Pit Boss. Evergood Foods sent me a little care package, and since I’ve been buying their spicy sausage from Walmart for about a year (that one is topnotch if you like heat), I was really curious to try a flavor I’ve never had before: their pineapple sausage. The big question was simple… does it actually taste like pineapple, and is it going to be overpowering or just a nice hint? I kept this cook super simple—no rub, no seasoning, nothing. I set my Pit Boss pellet grill to 300°F and put the links on. After 30 minutes they were done, and I’ll show you what to look for, but the real way to know is internal temp. If you’ve got a thermometer, I always say probe it and shoot for 165°F. Then I did a taste test plain first, and after that I went “simple” with mustard and ketchup on a bun. What surprised me is how good it was. The pineapple isn’t overpowering—it’s a mild hint that comes through more as you chew, and it works really well with pork. If you like trying different sausage flavors, this one is definitely worth a shot.
