About This Video

On today’s video, I’m showing you how to make the best smoked pork steaks you will ever make on a Pit Boss pellet grill. If you’ve never had pork steaks, you’ve gotta try them—these are cheap, they taste great, and they’re even better in the smoker. I start with some nice-sized pork steaks and use a simple binder (mustard) so the rub sticks. Then I season them up with my go-to rub (use whatever you like), give them a good pat, and get them ready for the grill. For the cook, I keep it beginner-friendly: I run the Pit Boss and let these bad boys ride until they’re close to temp, then I add barbecue sauce. I’ve done pork steaks with and without sauce, and I’m telling you—adding the barbecue sauce just makes them great. After about an hour and a half, they’re looking awesome, and I like pulling mine around 160°F internal. You can always go a little lower if that’s how you like your pork, but this temp works perfect for me. Pork and barbecue sauce always go great together, and these pork steaks are always a hit—grab them at Walmart and give it a shot.
