About This Video

In this video I’m back at it for 2026, and I’m finally trying that viral bacon burger that’s been all over Instagram and social media. I’d never done it before, but it looked too good not to test on my Pit Boss. I keep it simple for beginners: all you need is bacon, ground beef (I used 1 pound), and whatever rub you like. The main trick is laying the bacon out, adding your ground beef on top, rolling it up into a “pinwheel” style burger, pressing it down, and using a toothpick to keep the bacon tucked in place. For the cook, I run my Pit Boss at 300°F and I’m watching internal temp—my target is 165°F. If you like your burger less done, you can pull it earlier; you’re the one eating it. I’ll be honest, I forgot to melt the cheese on the grill, so I added it after, then built the burger with mayo, lettuce, ketchup, and diced onions. The final verdict: it’s pretty good and something new to try—I gave it about an 8. Next time I’d glaze one with barbecue sauce to take it up another notch, especially if I’m trying to impress company.
