One of my favorite things about Fiverr is that you can just… pay people to make games for you, which I’ve done way too many times. But this time I wanted to make it extra chaotic: I hired an “AI prompt expert” on Fiverr to write a custom ChatGPT prompt, used that prompt to generate a full game concept, and then sent the exact same AI-generated idea to four different Fiverr game developers to see how wildly different the results would be. The AI spit out “Dimensional Drifters,” a 2D platformer where gravity constantly shifts and you can flip orientation whenever you want. I paid four devs (from $100 to $125) and got four totally different interpretations: one turned it into a puzzle-focused gravity/block/button situation, another leaned into a speedrun vibe with keys and tight timing, another added more classic platforming with ladders and enemies, and the last one went full “this is actually sick” with a grappling hook plus gravity shifting. The big takeaway: even with the same detailed prompt, you’re not buying “a game,” you’re buying a dev’s interpretation—and sometimes that’s where the funniest (and surprisingly best) version shows up.
