Storm’s IQ Tour Solid has been in production for nearly 14 Years! That’s a very very long time for any bowling ball. This ball is still so good even in 2026.

About This Video

In this video, I’m talking about a straight-up legend: the Storm IQ Tour Solid, and whether it’s still worth it in 2026. This ball has been in production for well over a decade, and that alone tells you something—if it wasn’t good, it wouldn’t still be here. I take a fresh one on a fresh house shot at AMF Stardust Lanes and show you what it looks like out of the box at 4000 grit, then I make a quick surface change to 2000 so you can see how much that affects the read. Out of the box, the IQ Tour Solid is long, smooth, and continuous—kind of “lazy” in the best way, because it keeps the angles in front of you and doesn’t try to over-flip. With the 2000 pad, it picks up earlier in the later part of the midlane and drives harder through the pins, but it’s still controllable and forgiving. I also show what happens when I move left into a different zone—on the fresh, that wasn’t the best look for my speed/rev match because it can leave that weak 7. Bottom line: if you’re an average league bowler looking for control, or you want a reliable piece that won’t hook off the planet, I still recommend the IQ Tour Solid for 2026.
