The Intel Recon Pearl from Radical is one of the cleanest yet versatile balls I've thrown in awhile. Its clean when you need it to be. Yet still maintains great ball motion through the pin deck. The Intel Recon just may be a staple in my bag. About This Video

In this video I’m at Next Generation Bowlers Pro Shop with my guy Jason (owner, and also a lefty) to put the Radical Intel Recon to the test. We talk layouts first, because that’s the whole point of what we were trying to do here: both of us went with longer pin-to-PAP setups (his was 5 1/2", mine was 5") to help the ball get through the fronts clean and not be “too whippy.” As a righty, I wanted something that could clear the front part of the lane when the heads start going away—especially for tournament play where you need that clean look but still want it to keep driving. We threw it on a fresh house shot (not the perfect “intent” for my layout, but it still tells you a lot), and what stood out immediately was how clean and even the Intel Recon is. Jason was able to play straighter and keep it in front of him, and I was surprised how much shape I could still create when I moved in and let it see friction. The big takeaway: it’s clean when you need it to be, but it still retains energy and makes a strong move when it finds friction—this one legitimately has “staple in the bag” potential for me.
