About This Video

In this video I’m talking about the YanYin Canon Pro, a $399 Chi‑Fi IEM sold and fulfilled by Linsoul, and why it ended up feeling like an “everyday” kind of IEM for me. I came to it after using the Sennheiser IE900 a lot—an IEM I really like for being practical and sounding good—but I also found it can get fatiguing after longer sessions. Canon Pro was my answer to that: it’s basshead, but it keeps the midrange natural and the overall presentation clean, so I can just enjoy music without stress. I also go into the tech and tuning: Canon Pro uses a 3D‑printed resin shell, multiple crossovers, and multiple physical sound ducts, which helps with separation, layering, and imaging. It’s not the most sensitive on paper, but in real use it’s easy to drive and very practical, with decent passive isolation (I noticed around ~20 dB in practice). Sonically it has that “thunderous stamp” bass, rich and mature texture rendering, and a V‑shaped signature with treble energy peaking around 11–14 kHz. Finally, I compare it to direct alternatives in the same price range, like Punch Audio Martillo, ZiiGaat Arcadia, and Simgot TM10, and I explain why Canon Pro is especially strong for rock, metal, EDM, and modern commercial music—while not being my first pick for classical where a more mid‑centric tuning tends to work better.
