In this video I take an in-depth look at the KeyChron Q6 Max, and I’m saying it upfront: this is literally my favorite keyboard of all times. I know my channel is about audio, but mechanical keyboards are how we communicate every day, and the Q6 Max is one of those products that feels “high-end” the moment you touch it. It’s a huge slab of aluminum, around 2 kg, with zero flex, and it’s built like it’s meant to survive real work—typing tens of thousands of words per day, programming, screenshots, debugging, and everything else I do. I go through what makes it special beyond “just switches”: the chassis design, the multi-layer damping (silicone + PA foam), and the mature sound/feel tuning compared to older Q6 versions. Stock, it’s already excellent—especially with Gateron Jupiter Red switches, which are some of the smoothest I’ve ever felt (even smoother than Aqua Kings, though with less visible lighting). I also show why I modded mine: better stabilizers to remove metal clinking, and silent TTC Frozen switches to keep the room peaceful. If you need a true 100% layout with numpad and full function row, this is the one that stole my heart.
