In this video I’m back with Lou and John from Louise Tarling LTD, and we’re chatting through how we met, why I rang them first for this cinema room, and what it’s like turning a design into a finished space. We’d built a working relationship over the years (mainly through Instagram and training days), so when this project came up, I knew they were the right people—even though they were absolutely rammed coming into Christmas. Seeing them walk the room again and still spot tiny tweaks is exactly why I love working with them… it’s an illness, but it’s the right kind of illness. We also tour the media room and break down what’s actually in it: a punchy 5.1.2 setup with a custom Paradigm soundbar and sub, a Starscape star light ceiling, LED coffers, and Cinema Build System Halo Frames for that extra cinema feel. I then run through the Control4 side—my SR-260 remote (those 1/2/3 buttons are a game-changer for lighting scenes), plus what’s in the rack: a Control4 CORE 3 processor, lighting, and RS232 integration to the Starscape engine. The big takeaway is simple: even in a smaller room, if the tech and the finishing are right, it just works—and it bangs.
