In this video I’m over at Aquavision in Manchester with Alastair (their Managing Director) doing a proper walkthrough of their range—from the original Classic indoor sets right through to the big-boy Horizon outdoor screens. We start with the 27-inch Classic (polished stainless bezel) and talk through the different glass options they offer across the range: black, white, MirrorVision (basic mirror) and MirrorVision Plus (the “really good” mirror). Then we jump into the Mirror TV side, including a 55-inch where, when it’s off, it’s a perfect mirror and you genuinely can’t see where the TV is—especially if the mirror is larger than the panel. We also look at the smaller 16-inch mirror TVs that get built into kitchen splashbacks and bathrooms—perfect for a bit of telly while you’re cooking or brushing your teeth. Aquavision show how the TVs go together (fixing kit/back box, LCD panel, then the glass clips on), plus a cool example of a flush, wipe-clean splashback install. Finally, we get hands-on with the 55-inch Horizon 4K outdoor TV: 2000-nit brightness for direct sunlight, automatic dimming via a light sensor, and proper thermal/humidity management you can monitor over IP. The connections are the sort I like to see on outdoor kit—PowerCON, sealed connectors, IP66 when mated—plus space for an accessory box to hide your balun and keep the install tidy. Proper job, and made in Britain.
