In this video I’m down in Surrey with the team at Lithe Audio, straight after filming the podcast, and they give me a proper walk-through of their new showroom. The big headline is their 7.1 in-ceiling surround setup using WiSA (Wireless Speaker and Audio Association) tech. Hearing a full Dolby Digital surround system with no AVR and no speaker cables running up to the ceiling is genuinely mad — it’s one of those demos that makes you stop and go, “right… this is the direction things are going.” We then break down the range from the original Bluetooth in-ceiling speaker (all-in-one amp and connectivity, powered like a lighting circuit) through to the Wi‑Fi/AirPlay 2/Chromecast models for wireless multi-room. The Pro Series is where it gets really CI-friendly: optional hardwired data, daisy chaining via built-in switch, and even PoE as an add-on when you’ve got Cat cable but no easy mains. On top of that, I look at their switches and sockets — including kinetic, batteryless wireless switches — and we talk about how that kind of thing solves real-world Control4 retrofit problems. Finally, we check out outdoor options like the rock speaker and a seriously versatile surface-mount speaker with multiple mounting methods. Overall, Lithe’s range has gone from “nice idea” to “properly thought-through for installers,” and the Pro Series surround demo absolutely blew me away.
