In this video I’m sat down with Mark Tilbury in his brand-new podcast green room / media space we’ve just delivered in Kent. Mark talks honestly about what the room used to be: a total problem area that ended up as a corridor and storage space. We chat through how the project started, why he’d spoken to multiple companies, and what made the difference for him—speed of response and being able to actually visualise the end result. I explain our design process and how we used 3D renders to show exactly what we were building, right down to the details on the back wall. We also get into the fun Control4 bits: I’ve programmed a dedicated “Podcast” source so the TV in this room can pull a live feed from the main podcast room upstairs. That means guests (and their entourage) can wait in here, watch the show, and we keep noise out of the recording space. Mark also uses the room to review YouTube videos on a big screen, and we cover the lighting—starscape plus colour-changing LEDs—along with how we delivered the core of the project in a tight six-week window.
