Hey friends—this vlog is one of those real-life, busy foster mama mornings. I’m out the door early with my little potato boy to grab breakfast, hit the grocery store, and tour two-bedroom apartments because we need more space. He’s teething like crazy (five teeth at once), crawling at lightning speed, and the separation anxiety is separation-anxiety-ing… so the morning is a lot. I also talk honestly about that foster mom guilt: being touched out and frustrated, while also knowing that attachment is the goal and I don’t even know how long I’ll get to have him with me. Then we get into apartment hunting in Los Angeles as a single-income household, and whew… it’s not for the weak. I tour a duplex I’m obsessed with, only to realize the potential landlord is being super shady with pricing—basically listing low to get people to negotiate up. On top of that, I share how being single can bring discrimination in the rental process (even when you qualify). But plot twist: the second place ends up working out, I love it, and Buster and I officially sign a lease. We’re moving into a two-bedroom with a garage, and I can’t wait to bring you guys along for the whole moving process.
