About This Video

Hey friends—this vlog is a real-life, messy-house, snotty-nose kind of update from me as a foster/adoptive mom to two little boys. It’s July 4th, and I’m catching you up while I edit our local adventure from yesterday: Travel Town Museum in Griffith Park. Buster (almost 2.5 and recently adopted) is officially on camera more, and Dashie (almost 1.5) is still off camera because he’s in the foster care system—so you’ll hear him and see stroller moments, but I’m keeping his privacy protected. We kicked things off with donuts (so yes, Buster immediately had chocolate all over himself), then headed to Travel Town to see all the trains. The tiny train ride there wasn’t selling tickets, so I’m guessing it was broken—but the boys still had the best time running around, exploring, and honestly… we came for the trains and stayed for the rocks. Since I promised Buster a train ride, we pivoted to another little train spot in Griffith Park where the train was actually running. It was hot, we learned the refreshment stand only took cash, and by the end we were back home, hydrated, snacked, and ready for naps—because that’s the foster mom life, one busy week at a time.
